| [ Summary ] | The indication of H.pylori eradication therapy for gastric or duodenal ulcer has been approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Japan. The eradication therapy can be done in general practice. The screening for gastric cancer with endoscopy is recommended in Japan, where the prevalence of atrophic gastritis and gastric cancer risk is high. The management of MALT lymphoma should be done by specialists. The effects of eradication therapy on atrophic gastritis, gastric cancer, and NUD should be investigated by well-controlled randomized studies in Japan. | |
