[ Summary ] |
In order to judge the efficiency of eradication therapy, examinations for H.pylori should be conducted over a four week period, after cessation of treatment. Histamine H2 antagonists and various mucosal protective drugs, which have no affective action on H.pylori, are recommended for use after eradication therapy. It is likely that the risk of the ulcer recurrence will be low if no H.pylori infection is confirmed using the urea breath test or antibody tests. |
