| [ Summary ] | Endoscopic ultrasonography is widely applied in the diagnosis of pancreatic diseases. Due to the adoption of high-frequency ultrasound and scanning through the upper gastrointestinal tract adjacent to the pancreas, EUS provides pancreatic tomographic images of high quality. To assess the entire pancreas, it is essential to scan it from both the stomach and the duodenum. The pancreatic body and tail are visualized by transgastric scanning. Transduodenal scanning visualizes the pancreatic head including the uncinate process and the ampullary region. When a localized change is identified by EUS, we should scan it intensively and record images, utilizing adjustment of gain, STC, image size options, etc., to make them as informative as possible. |
