[ Summary ] Basic total colonoscopy was explained, as well as techniques for solving problems in difficult cases. The procedure used was one man method, not using a sliding tube. The most difficult site was the sigmoid colon. The scope was inserted, using the push and pull technique, as soon as possible through the sigmoid colon, to the desending colon, making no bones of looping and straightening the scope immediately. In addition, abdominal manipulation and changes in the right-lateral position were very useful in passing through the sigmoid colon, to the desending colon. Continuous operation was important in order to pass through the transverse colon to the ascending colon. Pulling the scope to control, it is the most important when insertion remains uncertain.
