[ Summary ] Antidiarrheal drugs for treating general diarrheas are well known by clinicians. On the other hand, there are lactose intorerance, blind loop syndrome, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, intestinal and pancreatic steatorrhea, diabetic diarrhea, infectious diarrheas, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and chronic ulcerative colitis and irritable bowel syndrome as specific diarrheas. We referred to the pathogeneses on these specific diarrheas and explained the specific treatments. In addition, we referred to kampo's drugs and clostridium butyricum prepation.
