[ Summary ] In the pancreatic neopiasm, mucin-producing pancreatic tumor demonstrate characteristic clinico-pathological features. We presented two cases of adenomas and a case of mucinous carcinoma which had progressed from intraductal papillary carcinoma. Histopathologically, these cases supported the theory of the hyperplasia-adenoma-adenocarcinoma sequence. The immunohistochemical index of proliferation of each lesion was correspondent to its cellular atypism. The natural history of mucin-producing pancreatic tumors are supposed to be different from usual types of pancreatic cancer. Different genomic abnormalities are also suspected.
