[ Summary ] It is necessary for radiologists to recognize that the upper third of the normal stomach is considered to corespond closely to the postoperative stomach and to take pictures of the gastric remnant, the suture area and the area of anastomosis. We have demonstrated many figures of cases and confirmed that the double contrast method is best suited for detecting a early carcinoma of the gastric remnant and the compression view of the region of an end to side anastomosis also greatly facilitates making a diagosis of carcinoma in this region.
