[ Summary ] Angiodysplasia of the intestine is increasingly being recognized as a cause of intestinal hemorrhage.The lesions of this disorder are flat,bright red and can be seen clearly during endoscopic examination. Endoscopic treatments, which have proven effective, include injection therapy and coagulation utilizing a laser, hot biopsy or heater probe. In addition to endoscopic therapy,angiographic methods employing vasopressin infusion or embolization are available.
