[ Summary ] Intestinal infections are fundamentally diagnosed based on the detection of causative organisms; however, imaging studies such as endoscopy, ultrasound, and CT are often performed for various reasons. In this article, an overview was attempted concerning the findings from imaging studies, pathogenic mechanisms, and sites of involvement in intestinal infections. Correct diagnosis of intestinal infections by the findings from imaging studies only becomes possible after acquisition of the knowledge of respective disorders.
