【 要旨 】 CKD-MBDに関するエビデンスを構築するには臨床試験が不可欠で，臨床試験にはデータベースが必須となる．本稿では代表的なデータベースとしてThe United States Renal Data System (USRDS), Fresenius Medical Care (North America) コホート, Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (DOPPS) およびJapan DOPPS，日本透析医学会統計調査資料を取り上げ，それらを簡単に紹介するとともに，それらから得られたCKD-MBDに関するエビデンスの一部を紹介した，こうしたデータベースを駆使して，質の高いエビデンスが多数得られ，CKD患者の治療・管理レベルがさらに向上することを期待したい．

[ Summary ] Reliable clinical evidence is essential for better understanding and management of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorders (CKD-MBD). For our clinical study, a trail database was essential. In this article, outlines of representative databases for a clinical study of CKD-MBD are reviewed. These include the United States Renal Data System, the Fresenius Medical Care (North America) cohort, the Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (DOPPS), the Japan DOPPS and the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy cohort. This article introduces representative clinical evidence from each database.
