The first selection for imaging diagnosis of the parathyroid is ultrasonography. Ultrasonic examination is implemented by using a high frequency probe for superficial organs. It is desirable that the blood flow evaluation is possible in cases of low blood velocity and low blood flux. As occasion demands, scintigraphy, CT and MRI etc. may be combined.
