【 要旨 】 骨粗蒡C骨量減少と骨微細構造の破綻に伴い,骨の脆弱性をきたし,骨折の危険性が高まる病態と定義されている.しかしながら,骨強度に対する骨量と骨微細構造の関連は未だ十分に明らかにされていない.本研究では卵巣摘除(ovx)ラット腰椎を用いて,力学強度に対する骨量と骨微細構造の関連を検討した.その結果,ovx後急速に力学強度の低下する4週までは,力学強度は骨梁表面形態の変化に強く依存していた.一方,力学強度の低下が緩徐となるovx6週以降は,力学強度は骨量に強く依存していた.

[ Summary ] Osteoporosis has been defined as a disease characterized by low bone mass and microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue, leading to enhanced bone fragility and a consequent increase in risk of fracture. However, the relationship between bone mass and trabecular microarchitecture to bone strength has not been fully established. In the present study, we examine the relationship between bone mass and trabecular microarchitecture to bone strength of lumbar vertebra after ovariectomy in rats. In results, the changes in trabecular bone contour are critical for reducing lumbar bone strength within 4 weeks post-ovx. On the other hand, bone mass was significantly influenced to bone strength from 6 weeks post-ovx.
