[ Summary ] |
Elderly diabetic patients with chronic renal failure and who are receiving hemodialysis may experience decreases in energy intake and locomotion due to neuropathy. Nephropathy readily causes sarcopenia, resulting in impaired daily living activity. Early, collaborative interventions by dietitians and physiotherapists are effective in preventing the progression of sarcopenia. |
