Peritoneal dialysis is a suitable modality for renal replacement therapy for senile patients undergoing dialysis. It is commenced with the exclusive placement of a peritoneal access into an abdominal cavity. A fully functioning peritoneal access promises improved clinical course of peritoneal dialysis. Therefore, great attention should be given to creating a peritoneal access in senile patients with chronic renal insufficiency. |
