【 要旨 】 本邦の透析患者は高齢化し，それに伴い悪性腫瘍への対策の重要性が増している．透析患者では二次性副甲状腺機能亢進症を高率に合併することから，この評価のために頸部に対する画像評価を行う機会が多い．一方，透析患者では甲状腺がんが一般健常人に比べ発生率が高いことが明らかになってきている．とくに，高齢と透析期間が長いことがそのリスク因子であることが報告されてきており，副甲状腺の評価だけではなく，甲状腺の病変にも留意する必要がある．また，甲状腺がんのなかでも透析患者では一般健常人と比較しより悪性度が高いとされる多病巣性甲状腺乳頭がん（multifocal PTC）の頻度が高いことも報告されてきており，早期発見，早期治療が重要である．

[ Summary ] The number of older patients recieving dialysis in Japan is increasing. Therefore, the importance of measures to treat malignant tumors has increased. Because dialysis patients have complications associated with secondary hyperparathyroidism, they often undergo ultrasonography or CT in their necks. It has been reported that the incidence of thyroid cancer in dialysis patients is higher than that of the general population. Evaluation of the parathyroid gland is necessary to discover thyroid lesions in dialysis patients. The frequency of multifocal papillary thyroid carcinoma is also higher than in the general population. Since dialysis patients are often observed to have thyroid cancer, early diagnosis and treatment is important.
