[ Summary ] |
The Japanese Society of Nephrology and Pharmacotherapy (JSNP) certified 14 nephrology and pharmacotherapy specialists and 45 nephrology pharmacists in 2013. These specialist certified pharmacists are expected to fully utilize their clinical skills and have fundamental knowledge in pharmacy. They are expected to prevent drug-induced renal failure in patients with chronic kidney disease and prevent toxic side effects that frequently occur in dialysis patients. In cooperation with affiliated societies, the JSNP seeks to cultivate pharmacists who, in collaboration with primary care physicians and other medical professionals, will responsibly provide optimal drug therapy tailored to individual patients. |
