【 要旨 】 透析看護に関わる看護師資格には，透析看護認定看護師（Certified Nurse in Dialysis Nursing），慢性疾患看護専門看護師，透析療法指導看護師がある．本稿では，透析看護認定看護師の教育課程の概要を示し，透析看護認定看護師は，全国的な繫がりの中で，透析看護の質の維持・向上に取り組み，看護師としての自己を発展させていこうと研鑽し続ける実践者であるという特徴を述べた．また，透析看護認定看護師を中心として，腎不全医療に関わる看護師は，患者を一人の人間として理解することを貫くこと，療法選択の支援を行うこと，患者にとって安全で安楽な透析を行うことの3点について，とくに専門性を発揮することが重要であると述べた．

[ Summary ] Nurses certified in dialysis nursing are practitioners who strive to maintain and improve the quality of dialysis nursing nationwide, and who continue to study to develop themselves as nurses. Nurses involved in the care of patients with renal failure must demonstrate particular expertise in the understanding of patients as individuals, the provision of support for choosing therapy, and the implementation of dialysis that is safe and comfortable for the patient.
