Acute complications which occur in patients during hemodialysis can be divided into the categories of problems with hemodialysis equipment and other problems with the patient's condition. Problems with hemodialysis equipment can be reduced through comprehensive daily maintenance and careful preparation, as well as careful operative procedures. Hypotension is the most frequently observed acute complication in these patients. Arrhythmia and sudden death, spasms and other serious complications are rare but do occur. It is important that appropriate measures be taken to deal with these situations. |
