[ Summary ] |
The educational system for registered or practical nurses is outlined. Revisions have been made in the three-year basic education curriculum, concerning the New Graduate Nurse Clinical Training System introduced by an amended law in 2010. The current status of nursing human resource development is also examined. The certification systems used by the Japan Academy of Nephrology Nursing and the Japanese Nursing Association are also analyzed to reveal the present status of training for nurses involved in chronic renal disease treatment. We also consider how to train nursing staffs specializing in this area of therapy. The survey suggests, one problem, is the necessity for active involvement of organizations and individuals in nurses' training as a form of continuing education. |
