[ Summary ] |
Disorders in blood pressure are frequent findings in chronic kidney disease (CKD). The number of patients with chronic kidney failure and hypertension will increase as the population ages. Management of hypertension in CKD patients is important for prevention of cardiovascular events and death. Dialysis patients have particular pathophysiologies in terms of blood pressure and mortality, termed the 'U curve association'. Target blood pressure levels for dialysis patients should be established. |
