| 【 要旨 】 | 現代家族をめぐっては，固定的な性別役割分業に基づく家父長制的支配関係が批判されている．賃労働を担当する男が家事労働をする女を支配する非対称な関係となっていることから，家族を否定し，自立した個人としての生き方を主張するものもある．確かに家族は物質的な依存関係を内包させている．しかし，同時に家族は，自立した個人のアイデンティティの形成，維持に欠かすことのできない重要な他者でもある．自己に向けた眼差しと家族の他者としての眼差しの一致するところに自立的個人のアイデンティティは成立するのである．この意味で，家族におけるアイデンティティ形成の相補的関係を再評価すべきではないだろうか． | |

| [ Summary ] | Generally, there are two sides (a material side and a mental side) in the interpersonal relationships. In the material side of family relationships, we may find an asymmetrical and dependent relationship between husbands and wives, parents and children. However in the mental side of family relationships, we can get mutual understandings concerning the way of thinking and living each other. That is to say, in the mutual understandings, family members put their eyes on one another in an altruistic and coordinate manner. Our identity is composed by this mental relationships. We establish and maintain the identity by coincidence of the reciprocal, symmetrical mutual look. Therefore, I think that other person in the family is the most important moment for the identity to be formed based on the primary, reciprocal, symmetrical relationships. Family relationships are very important in such a meaning now. |
