In Japan, the number of patients suffering from diabetes or dyslipidemias is gradually increasing. These diseases sometimes lead to renal dysfunctions. They are also important metabolic factors which lead to deteriorations in the results obtained with macroangiopathies. Although we may understand the recommended targeted metabolic values related to diabetes or dyslipidemias in dialysis patients these values are the same as those seen in non dialysis patients. It is hoped that large scale clinical trials will produce evidence related to dialysis patients' metabolic factors. |
