【 要旨 】 慢性腎臓病 (CKD) ステージ1，2の患者に対しては，腎臓病についての啓発活動と生活習慣改善の指導が看護師の主要な役割であるが，地域診療施設に勤務する看護師の啓発は，日本腎不全看護学会などの学術団体が取り組むべき重要な課題である．ステージ3では，受診，食事，薬物療法を織り込んだ日常生活の支援を，さらに，ステージ4，5では，腎代替療法の具体的な説明，体調の変化の把握と腎代替療法移行への調整が重要である．これらのステージの患者に対しては，腎機能低下の遅延，合併症の予防と軽減，さらには腎代替療法への円滑な移行に看護師は大きく貢献すると考える．今後，CKDへの介入には，より深い専門知識をもつ慢性疾患専門看護師や透析認定看護師，透析療法指導看護師などの活用が重要である．

[ Summary ] In order to delay the progression of renal impairment and to prevent the onset of cardiovascular complications for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients, the role of nurses is very important. Improvements in patients' daily life, strict observance of dietary therapy and regular intake of the drugs are all dependent on the leadership provided by nurses. Similar contributions by nurses are also required for the adequate initiation of renal replacement therapy. The role of professional nurses will become increasingly important in developing early intervention for CKD patients.
