The respiratory system is very important not only for breathing, but also to maintain a correct acid-base balance. Patients with respiratory diseases generally have many symptoms, so many differential diagnoses may be considered. The amounts of required nutrients differ with age and physical condition, as well as disease suffered.
Nutritional support for those who have chronic renal failure and suffer from respiratory disease is described. Infectious lung diseases, lung cancer, bronchial asthma, and COPD, which are common respiratory diseases, are also discussed. The “Quality of Life” of these patients may be maintained with appropriate therapy and nutritional support. Smoking secession is also very important in relation to respiratory disease and chronic renal failure treatment. |
