Recently, there have been an increasing number of articles examining treatments for malnutrition, using oral nutritional supplements and intradialytic parenteral nutrition for chronic dialysis patients. The impact of these interventions on nutritional status is potentially promising and the mechanism for their productive use is now being clarified. Details concerning the current use of nutritional supplement therapy for chronic dialysis patients are described. |
