【 要旨 】 維持透析患者における性機能障害の原因にはさまざまな背景がある．慢性腎不全自体が性機能障害のリスクファクターである．加えて透析治療の環境や内分泌的異常，薬物による副作用，高血圧，動脈硬化が性機能障害に悪影響を及ぼしている．近年，PDE-5阻害薬の登場により透析患者の性機能障害の治療の有効性が期待されているが，その適応には既存の合併症の存在を考慮しなければならない．

[ Summary ] Patients undergoing hemodialysis exhibit sexual dysfunction which is caused by diverse conditions. These conditions include uremic status, dialysis therapies, endocrinological disorders, adverse effects of drugs, hypertension, atherosclerosis, etc.
PDE-5 inhibitors are potential therapeutic agents which are expected to also be effective for sexual dysfunction in these patients. Careful considerations will be needed for underlying complications when prescribing these agents.
