[ Summary ] |
Stenoses of hemodialysis shunts are seen incases with rigidity and also are commonly where there resistance to high pressure balloon dilatation. The parallel wire technique is effective in dissolving these tight stenoses. However, the success rate for treatment is not acceptable. According to the facts on percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, using a cutting balloon could become the main mode of treatment after the parallel wire technique. Since the technique is easy and free, it is significant that we use the parallel wire technique after failed conventional balloon angioplasties. |
