[ Summary ] |
Long-term hospitalization had been usual in elderly patients receiving hemodialysis treatment. However, exercise rehabilitation for hemodialysis patients could improve their physical fitness and ADL. Some patients have been able to receive hemodialysis treatment on an outpatient basis. Another cause of long-term hospitalization is unplanned hospitalization for the introductory hemodialysis period. To shorten this period, we used a clinical navigation and a clinical map. It is important that patients and staffs co-operate by using the same plan prior to the introduction of hemodialysis. Moreover, patient's quality of life may be improved. |
