| [ Summary ] | The author describes the incidence of cancer in the past and also looks at present trends and possibly future trends. He observes that some cancers have increased whilst other cancers have decreased, and describes the causative factors that may be responsible for both the increase and decrease of particular cancers. Cancer may be an inevitable disease given that people generally survive for much longer than at any time previously, and the author finally describes how we should take counter measures against cancer for the future. |
