[ Summary ] |
A total of eight organ transplants, from brain dead donors were perfomed over a two year peroid. However, even people travel overseas in hopes of receiving a donor organ find that it is difficult there also, due to a shortage of donors. In order for transplantation to continue in Japan, under the present transplant laws, pathema and brain death must be understood by the public. There must also be a wider distribution of information concerning donor cards. It must be strongly suggested that incoming patients be informed of the ability of them to be donors, under conditions. In this paper we analyzed the circumstance of emergency care providers in relation to organ donation. By improving the situation for emergency care providers, may be able to lighten their burden concerning this subject. |
