[ Summary ] |
The CRIT-LINE is an optical instrument using multiple wavelengths in the infrared spectrum, which is practical for the continuous measurement of hematocrit (Ht) and oxygen, saturation (O2sat)in the patient during noninvasive hemodialysis treatment. This instrument is mainly used to monitor circulating blood volume. We studied the usefulness and problem with CRIT-LINE for monitoring hemodialysis treatment, and studied new techniques for the assessment of blood access ability using this monitoring system for recirculation. It is important to use CRIT-LINE in clinical practice and understand its abilities. |
