[ Summary ] |
Recently, dsorption therapy is thought of as an important part of blood purification therapy with HD and plasma pheresis. The history of adsorption therapy began with the use of charcoal and continued with DHP (direct hemoperfusion), using oil carbon pitch and on to immunoadsorption therapy by Terman. Immunoadsorption therapy is not a correct technical term. The term affinity adsorption therapy is correct. With the study of affinity, polyvinylalcohol-tryptophan adsorbents, polyvinylalcohol-phenylalanine adsorbents and dextran sulfate-cellulose adsorbents have been developed. In this paper, I summarized the selectivity and effectness of various adsorbents. |
