The onset of blindness or visual impairment has an enormous impact on every aspect of an individual's life, in their personal life and on their job. In general, it affects the ability to perform the activities of daily life, travel independently, and obtain and utilize information. Therefore, hemodialysis patients who are blind or visually impaired would appreciate being able to receive both high-quality medical care and rehabilitation of vision at a single facility. Rehabilitation of vision is necessary for hemodialysis patients who are blind or visually impaired to live a full, meaningful life. |
