Total colonoscopy is thought of as one of the most difficult endoscopic procedures. In aiming at being an expert colonoscopist, a success rate, with little or no pain, of 95% or more should be the goal. It is important for the colonoscopist to train not only in insertion techniques for observing the complete colon, but also manipulation techniques in order to obtain definite diagnostically informative findings. Consequently, in addition to colonoscopic techniques, pictures taken during total colonoscopy should be fully and critically evaluated by other expert colonoscopists in routine case study conferences case study conferences, endoscopic-picture interpretation study conferences. |
