| [ Summary ] |
Depressed-type early colorectal cancer has been widely known to have high malignant potential via de novo carcinogenesis. Despite the establishment of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment for colorectal tumors, there are problems in the diagnosis of depressed-type early colorectal cancer. Depressed lesions are often difficult to detect and can be missed, and their frequency and pathogenesis remain obscure due to their scarcity. It is necessary for endoscopists to recognize the significance of depressedtype early colorectal cancer and to accumulate cases by improving their detection. |
