[ Summary ] |
Japanese and 2010 WHO classifications of gastrointestinal endocrine cell tumors were compared. The former is based on the atypical grade of tumor cells and histogenetic difference of both tumors. The latter is based on tumor cell differentiation and proliferation activity (mitotic and Ki-67 indices) and does not consider histogenetic pathways of both tumors. The pathological diagnosis process of gastrointestinal endocrine cell tumors was mentioned. |
