| 【 要旨 】 | 小児の炎症性腸疾患（IBD）は潰瘍性大腸炎とクローン病のいずれにおいても，成人に比較して重症で，罹病期間も長期にわたり，成人より強い治療が必要なことが多い．また，診断時だけでなく，治療中も含めて成長を担保する必要があり，思春期に特徴的な心理的，社会的問題を伴いやすく，専門的カウンセリングも含めた心理的サポートも必要である．担当医はこのような特徴を理解して，可能なかぎり小児IBD治療の経験豊富な小児科医と連携して治療を遂行することが望ましい． | |

| [ Summary ] | Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis in children have more aggressive disease patterns, earlier progression of disease and longer disease courses, compared to those of adults. It is necessary to restore normal growth and nutrition, not only at the time of diagnosis, but also during treatment. We must also decrease the psychosocial burdens associated with the disease by providing psychological support, including professional counseling. Attending physicians, should provide medical care in collaboration with pediatric specialists for inflammatory bowel disease treatment and endocrinology. |
