[ Summary ] |
Whipple's disease, the common term for Tropheryma whippelii infection, is a rare infectious disease most commonly encountered in Caucasians living in mid-Europe or the United States. It tends to affect middle-aged white men. According to the literature, case reports in Japan are very rare. We describe the pathological findings of a probable case of Whipple's disease and ileal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in a Japanese woman. |
