The gastrointestinal tract is the most common site of primary extra-nodal lymphoma. Gastrointestinal lymphomas are almost exclusively of non-Hodgkin's B-cell type, while primary gastrointestinal Hodgkin lymphoma is vanishingly rare. The best clinical practice can only be obtained when there is a deep understanding of the pathological and biological features of gastrointestinal lymphomas. |
