[ Summary ] |
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used to control chronic pain especially for orthopedic conditions, prevention of recurrent cerebral episodes and cardiac infarction. Double balloon endoscopy is useful for diagnosing NSAIDs induced enteropathy. The most common location of NSAIDs induced enteropathy was the ileum (14 cases ; 88%). The preferred treatment for NSAIDs induced enteropathy is discontinuing NSAIDs. However, this is usually impractical. |
