[ Summary ] |
In large intestinal depressed type tumor, currently the diagnostic criteria still varies depending on institutions. Then, we describe the endoscopic feature including pit pattern dissertated so far from the clinicopathological feature about the large intestinal depressed type tumor this time. In the features as the large intestinal depressed type tumor, it is important (1) to have depression which can follow an edging to all surroundings and to express clear aspect in the depression, (2) that when having marginal ridge, the raised portion is formed as a non-tumor component consisting of normal membrane or hyperplastic mucosa, (3) that many of depressed surfaces express pit pattern originating in small pit centering on IIIs pit. Clinicopathological study showed each feature of depressed type, a flat type, and protruded type SM cancer. With the V1 type pit pattern in each type, in the case of depressed type tumor, only the view in which they thickly existed and aligned irregularly centering on small pit were found, and the views such as extended large pit, abnormal branch as found in elevated tumor were not found. Based on above, it is thought to be important that depressed type tumor are discriminated as flat type and elevated type correctly to diagnose. |
