[ Summary ] |
We assessed the clinical usefulness of Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) systems for diagnosis of colorectal lesions through observation of pit patterns. NBI is useful for the differential diagnosis of neoplastic or non-neoplastic lesions. However, these systems are not useful for the differential diagnosis of adenomas and carcinomas. Neither, are they useful for diagnos in carcinomas slightly invading the submucosa or massively invading the submucosa through magnifying observation of pit patterns. NBI may be useful for diagnosis of colorectal neoplasias by observing the microvascular architecture. |
