【 要旨 】 高齢者のC型肝炎では，肝線維化進行例だけでなく，肝線維化非進行例でも肝発癌がみられるため，早期DAA治療の導入が望ましい．DAA治療中は薬物間相互作用などの有害事象にとくに注意を払う．SVR後は，注意深い肝発癌スクリーニング検査が必要である．高齢者B型肝炎では，核酸アナログ製剤を治療薬として用いる．高齢者のHBVキャリアやHBV既往感染者に対して免疫抑制・化学療法を行う場合は，HBV再活性化に注意する．高齢者の慢性ウイルス性肝炎の治療に際しては，肝臓専門医へのコンサルタントをお勧めする．
