Endosonography/endoscopic ultrasound guided biliary drainage (EUS‒BD) is a salvage technique for cases with difficulties of ERCP related biliary drainage. However, its was not established and there is a lack of dedicated devices and possible severe complications. We should perform EUS‒BD carefully. These guidelines include current standard procedures and device selection based on evidences and expert opinions. Education of endoscopists and the methods of introduction of EUS‒BD are also included. These guidelines are made for the safe use and introduction of EUS‒BD. |
