[ Summary ] |
There are multiple pathological findings in the pancreatic cyst lesions (PCLs), and it is important to diagnose the malignancy. The primary diagnosis method of PCLs is image diagnosis, but we sometimes experience difficult cases with regard to diagnosing PCLs. The diagnostic ability of PCLs may improve by using EUS‒FNA and pancreatic cyst juice analysis, so EUS‒FNA and pancreatic cyst juice analysis are often performed in western countries. In contrast, they are not performed in Japan because of the risk for tumor seeding. Because their diagnostic abilities are not enough to be high, several methods try to be used to diagnose the PCLs more precisely. In our institute, artificial intelligence was used to diagnose the PCLs by recognizing the pattern of the EUS‒FNA and pancreatic cyst juice analysis. |
