[ Summary ] |
In this study, we retrospectively reviewed the gastrointestinal manifestations of vasculitides including polyarteritis nodosa (PAN), microscopic polyangiitis (MPA), granulomatosis with polyangiitis [GPA (Wegener's granulomatosis)], eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis [EGPA (Churg-Strauss syndrome)], and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Most patients with vasculitides with gastrointestinal involvement demonstrate ulceration or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract owing to transmural ischemia caused by necrotizing focal segmental vasculitis. |
