[ Summary ] |
Liver biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosis of liver fibrosis. However use of ultrasound elastography which is a non-invasive method for the evaluation of degree of liver fibrosis has become widelyused. Moreover, due to its convenience and repeatability, the clinical usefulness of ultrasound elastography has become widely acknowledged. Currently, liver stiffness can be measured using various ultrasound devices. However, clinicians need to use them with a full understanding of the particular measurement method and differences in characteristics in each models. |
