[ Summary ] |
The Japanese Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST) Therapeutic Guidelines recommend endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy for histological diagnosis; however, this technique is only performed in a few medical institutions. In contrast, gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is widely used as a standard technique. We performed mucosal cutting biopsy using an ESD technique to obtain tissue specimens for histopathological examination. |
