Kampo medicine is Japanese traditional medicine that was introduced from China in the distant past, and evolved uniquely in Japan. It comprises the original diagnostic method; however, for medical doctors in high-volume practice, who are trained in western medicine and wish to learn Kampo medicine, selection of clinical evidence-based Kampo formula would be recommended at the primary stage. Herein, we described the clinical indication of Kampo medicine and related side effects, which should be considered by medical doctors. |
