【 要旨 】 胃ESD後には術後出血や遅発性穿孔などの偶発症が一定の割合で発生する．また，ESDにより任意の大きさでの切除が可能である一方，広範切除による術後狭窄もしばしば経験する．そして，ESD後は局所再発・転移再発のみならず，異時性胃癌に関しても注意が必要であり，適切なサーベイランスが重要である．

[ Summary ] Although endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a useful treatment for gastric neoplasms, it carries some risk of perioperative adverse events such as delayed bleeding, delayed perforation, aspiration pneumonia and stenosis. Surveillance for the early detection of local recurrence, lymph node and distant metastasis, and metachronous gastric cancer should be considered after gastric ESD.
